My name is Detalia Jones. I am a resident of Bessemer, Alabama and
a proud graduate of Jess Lanier High School, Class of 2002. After
graduation, I attended and earned an Associate’s degree from Lawson
State Community College in early childhood education, which
strengthened my abilities to contribute my talents within the classroom
environment. My previous roles in the realm of education were:
Director of the extended childcare program at Brock’s Intermediate
School located in Hoover, Alabama, remedial homework instructor for
Camp Bessemer, and a certified provider at Kingdom Kids Child
Development Center located in Bessemer, Alabama. I am currently one
of the auxiliary teachers at Bessemer Pre-K at C. F. Hard Elementary,
an Alabama First-Class Pre-K site. In addition to being an employee, I
am an active parent of a high school student at Bessemer City High School.
Therefore, it is my goal to connect and commit to children along with
their families to ensure overall success.
